Leap Castsle (Roscrea)

One of Ireland's most famous and mysterious attractions, Leap Castle is located just north of Roscrea and is widely regarded as one of the most haunted castles in Ireland. The castle dates back to around the 13th century and was originally built by the O'Bannon clan before becoming associated with the powerful O'Carroll family.
The castle is renowned for its dramatic history, including tales of family rivalries, battles, and the infamous "Bloody Chapel," where legend says a priest was killed during a family dispute. Over the centuries, Leap Castle has gained an international reputation for ghost stories and paranormal legends, attracting visitors interested in both history and folklore.
Despite its haunted reputation, Leap Castle is also an important historic landmark.
