Ireland’s Pirate Queen travelled to Ormond Castle in Carrick-on-Suir to seek the support of the 10th Earl of Ormond in 1593.

Philip Quinn of Killenaule is the artist behind the Grainne Mhaol and the Black Tom Butler statues.

This is part of the Carrick-on-Suir regeneration plan to upgrade Ormond Castle Park to a biodiversity reserve.
