Internationally acclaimed photographer, humanitarian and peace advocate Giles Duley has been presented with the 2025 Tipperary International Peace Award.
The ceremony took place at the Great National Ballykisteen Hotel in Limerick Junction this morning.
In 2011, while working in Afghanistan, Giles was critically injured by an improvised explosive device, losing both legs and his left arm.
The Award recognises his extraordinary courage, resilience and humanitarian work.
He joins an illustrious list of previous winners including Nelson Mandela, Ban Ki-moon, Adi Roche and Dr Martin Mansergh.
At 6.30pm this evening Giles will be in conversation with Martin Quinn of the Tipperary Peace Convention at Tipperary Town Library.
