Works are getting underway to improve the service and reduce leaks in the water supply for Newport.
Uisce Éireann say it’s part of their commitment to providing a reliable water supply for everyone in the community.

The works will replace old and damaged water mains in the area.
Dave Murphy from Uisce Éireann says 1.6km of new and modern pipes will be installed.
The works are expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
